Scheimpflug is committed to protecting the health and safety of our film and photo community and we are taking every measure to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We have implemented new protocols for proper sanitation and social distancing within our facilities. Learn more below.

Security on Campus Starts with You

On the day before your shoot you can pickup your gear after 2pm. Return the morning after your shoot by 10am for a 1-day rate.

Botany in The Developing World

Pickup on Friday after 2pm and return on Monday morning by 10am for a 1-day rate.

How is gear being sanitized to insure the health and safety of my set and crew?

  • All equipment and high touch surfaces are being sanitized with alcohol based cleaner upon return, then again after the diagnostics process. Equipment is dated and returned to the warehouse shelves.

  • When an order is pulled we select items that have returned the earliest - CDC studies indicate that the virus cannot live on a surface for longer than 7-days.

  • Staff is instructed to wear a mask and wash their hands thoroughly before packing an order.

  • Each location is staffed with minimal crew working at one time to allow for ample social distancing within the facility.

  • It is mandatory for all employees to wash their hands upon arrival, after receiving a return, handing off a rental package, and multiple times throughout the day.

  • It is mandatory for all employees and customers to wear a mask at our locations.

  • Upon arrival, staff members must have their temperature taken. If they have a fever they are sent home.

How do I pick up and return my gear?

  • Let us know what time you will arrive for your pickup or return so we are able to prepare and stagger appointments with other clients.

  • Equipment will be left in a holding area for you to pick up, distanced from Flug staff.

  • Please wear a mask while inside our facilities.

  • Please maintain a 6ft distance from others at all times.

Am I able to conduct a camera checkout? What are the restrictions?

  • Yes - our Camera Facility in Chelsea is spacious, so there is no problem conducting a checkout on our prep floor while maintaining adequate distance from others.

  • Our equipment packing, receiving, and diagnostics areas are located on a separate floor and we have also temporarily moved our outbound area. You/your AC will have the floor to yourself, limited interaction with others, and you will not be subject to any in or outbound movement.

  • All camera checkouts must be scheduled in advance. Please discuss with your rental agent how many crew members you hope to bring to the checkout as this number needs to be approved.

  • At this time we are pausing client food and beverage accommodations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Do you offer PPE rentals or sales expendables?

  • Yes - we currently stock a variety of PPE and cleaning items to help reduce the number of pickups a production needs to do for a shoot. We can add masks, cleaning supplies, and other health and safety equipment to your order, subject to availability.
